Unfortunately, many agencies do not have the resources to undertake a large-scale official funeral when an officer dies in the line of duty. The Missouri Law Enforcement Funeral Assistance Team was formed to help those agencies and the officers’ families with planning funeral services so as to properly honor fallen officers.
