Conduct a threat assessment to help determine what items to include in your go-bag, and prepare to be on scene for an extended period, but remember to keep the bag light and portable.

During a large-scale disaster, law enforcement officers will be called upon to maintain order and begin the rescue process. Outside help might not be available for days, so officers must be prepared. Having a “disaster bag” pre-packed with essential items, such as food, water, extra ammunition, cutting tools, etc., could be life-saving.
