The magazine is as critical as the ammo we use. The critical component in any semi-automatic or automatic magazine-fed weapon. A sizeable percentage of weapon malfunctions can be attributed to magazine-related issues. This being the case, it is surprising how little attention is paid to this critical component.

Today’s tactical officers use advanced tactical products, including after-market 30-round magazines for the AR-15 platform patrol rifles. Tactical Response sought 10 of its readers to test eight different 30-round magazines. The testers are tactical officers and tactical-minded patrol officers who used the equipment in tactical training, operations and other opportunities.
