The Havis Integrated Control System (ICS) is designed for saving space,
creating police officer comfort, and integrating the latest on-board
manufacturers Havis and Ford co-developed the Havis Integrated Control System to
replace and mount in the factory dashboard location of the Ford Police
Interceptor Sedan and Utility vehicles. The system package includes the Trim
Panel, Touchscreen Display, A/V Extender, Embedded Processor, and HVAC
The Integrated Control System offers a variety of
features that improve comfort and safety in the vehicle and provide seamless
integration of the vehicle’s technology with externally mounted computing
relocating computers and external video sources to the trunk, the Integrated
Control System allows for a flush profile of the OEM dash and a clean cockpit. The sunlight-readable LCD display is composed of extremely durable,
chemically strengthened glass that can withstand impact without chipping. The
Touch Screen Display’s ultra-wide viewing angle allows for both driver and
passenger operation. Video Mode 1 provides control of the built-in Integrated
Control System vehicle applications, and Video Mode 2 provides allows for
control of an externally mounted computer, laptop or tablet.
Touch Screen Display offers NTSC Camera viewing, the Image Viewer and real-time
diagnostics that include system status and vehicle battery levels. The display
also features AM/FM radio controls, which replace the vehicle’s factory
The embedded processor connects to Ford wiring and
replaces the OEM AM/FM Radio Module. A sophisticated audio management system
prioritizes the use of the vehicles audio system, so important communications
are not missed (including the car speakers and hands-free microphone).
Integrated Control System features tactile HVAC controls and a tactile Mode
button to toggle between the two different display options. Other buttons control
volume, brightness and blackout. The Touch Screen Display has four different
illumination levels ranging from dim for nighttime use to bright for use in the
steering wheel buttons can be configured to control the User Mode,
Illumination Level and AM/FM radio functions (band, tune, seek, volume). The
Integrated Control System is compatible with a wide range of laptops and
tablets, which can be connected to the system through HDMI or VGA cables.
Fleet managers can utilize the administrator password
to save and maintain settings that cannot be edited. The Integrated Control
System has a three-year limited warranty from Havis and does not impact the
Screen Display: 12.1-inch touchscreen, 800x1280 resolution, 1200 NIT, 88-degree
viewing angle, -20C to +70C, built-in heater activation below -20C
processor: AM/FM tuner, 4x20W speakers, Android 4.1, -40C to +85C, CAN, USB,
Extender: VGA or HDMI, USB and Audio inputs from laptop/dock
