Uniformity Incorporated Creates New Standard for Uniform Retailing

A K-9 unit, police motorcycle, a fire captain and even a Segway® Human Transporter might seem like a typical assemblage of units at an accident scene; however, all these emergency units are part of a new specialty uniform retail location in northern Illinois.

Uniformity Incorporated, northern Illinois’ fastest growing police and fire uniform and equipment retailer, has undergone its own “extreme makeover.” Renowned for its outstanding level of customer service and pricing, the company was “busting at the seams” in its previous location. Something had to be done. So to meet the growing needs of its customer base, it has expanded into a new 17,000-square-foot location in Northbrook, IL. The new Uniformity Incorporated showroom is located at 3177 MacArthur Blvd, Northbrook, IL 60062.

Uniformity’s new customer-focused facility showcases more vendors, more products, more associates and more amenities to build on its already outstanding levels of customer service, product selection and aggressive pricing.

Taking a cue from consumer-based showrooms, Uniformity’s layout and displays facilitate up-close examination. Beyond standard racks and counters, the store features unique display areas incorporating a Harley Davidson police motorcycle, fully dressed mannequins wearing the latest in police and fire professional apparel and gear along with a Segway Human Transporter display. Also new is a dedicated shoe department, which allows officers to view all shoe and boot offerings and try them on in an open and comfortable environment.

In addition to products and enticing displays, Uniformity has added fitting rooms and expanded tailor facilities to speed order turnaround and increase satisfaction. Officer comfort is addressed with amenities including a coffee bar, a big screen TV and comfortable seating.

Behind the scenes the new location allows the company to stock a much wider range of products and sizes devoting areas to specific departments to quickly fill orders.
