ALS Technologies Inc.
ALS Technologies’ ALS09NR is a single-use, non–reloadable diversionary device that provides users with a highly effective flash while being ergonomically designed for a better grasp. This device was developed as a diversionary device for use in a variety of applications, and it requires no maintenance.
The ALS09NR is a steel body device that utilizes the M201 A1 fuse system. The M201 A1 is a 1 to 1.5 second delay MIL-SPEC igniter with a flash powder mix, producing a report of 169 to 174 decibels and a brilliant disorientation flash. The flash powder mixture is pure and is rated at a 35% power factor of TNT by weight.
The explosive chamber of the ALS09NR is water resistant. The ALS09NR is about 4.5 inches tall with a diameter of 1.75 inches, and it weighs about 0.6 pounds, allowing it to fit into existing diversionary device pouches as well as most 40mm pouches.
The new Bates Individual Comfort System gives the wearer the freedom to customize the comfort of his footwear. By using the new “dial” technology, public safety professionals can choose the comfort zone that’s right for them.
The new adjustable comfort system from Bates can be adjusted for each individual’s unique comfort tastes and requirements. The comfort system is highly flexible and easily customized. The adjustable comfort dial is built directly into the midsole of the shoe and is easily rotated to rest at one of four zones. Each zone satisfies different comfort needs for the wearer.
Bluestreak Connect’s Connect Interviewer is a questionnaire-based field reporting system with customized data collection. Connect Interviewer pre-populates reoccurring fields such as officer name and ID number. Information collected is used to complete all required reports, including any supplemental forms that may exist. Dynamic questionnaires ensure that all data fields are relevant to the particular event.
The Connect Interviewer saves time during the interviewing process with electronic reports and field pre-population. It also sorts reports for easy management with real-time availability of data for query and analysis. Other features include built-in workflow; UCR / NIBRS codes built-in; spell check; photo and file attachments.
Connect Interviewer automatically populates collected data into reports. The automated routing supports agencies’ policies and procedures. Real-time access to reports makes data available for analysis and supports industry data standards. In addition, Connect Interviewer offers a routing engine that transfers data and forms to appropriate individuals in real time.

The DuPont™ Kevlar® XP™ is a new patented technology that provides ballistic and trauma protection in a comfortable body armor solution. Both DuPont and independent tests show that Kevlar® XP™ stops bullets within the first three layers of a vest designed with a total of 11 layers. The remaining layers of Kevlar® XP™ absorb the energy of the bullet, resulting in less trauma, or backface deformation, to the vest wearer.
Kevlar XP typically provides a 15% reduction in backface deformation and at least a 10% lighter weight vest design against the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) level IIIA threat, a .44 magnum bullet. Additionally, Kevlar® XP provides layer-to-layer abrasion resistance. Kevlar XP initially will be available for body armor, but DuPont is developing additional ballistic applications for the future.
