Terminal Railroad Associaton of St. Louis Police Department
Chief Dennis Corley
Since 1889, the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis has played a vital role in the railroad operations and growth of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The Association was originally created to satisfy the need for an efficient, safe, and economical method of interchanging rail traffic at the railroad hub of St. Louis, Missouri: the "Gateway to the West."
Our jurisdiction encompasses both the Illinois and Missouri region for Railway traffic. We chose to photograph the Illinois track region displaying the Missouri side track section and encircling the Arch and Mississippi River. The design was fashioned to feature the region we work in and specific to The Terminal Railroad Association. The Gateway arch reaching 630 ft. is our nation's tallest man-made monument anchors the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and stands as the iconic monument symbolizing the westward expansion of the United States. The westward expansion was driven by the booming railroad industry and this is why we incorporate the Gateway Arch in our vehicle logos.
