Department Name:

El Mirage Police Department

Department Head:
Chief Steve Campbell
El Mirage, AZ
When designing our new patrol car paint scheme and graphics, we decided to depart from our regular design, a solid white car with blue lettering, to black and white with reflective gold lettering and striping, to both honor the traditional design of the "classic" police car while making the car more visible. Our graphics are reflective by design. The decision to use reflective material was a collaboration between the sergeant who led the project and the designer at the graphics company that did the work, who wanted to make sure our new design was in line with industry standards and best practices. The result is a car that is easier to see, under all lighting conditions, and from greater distances, than our older cars.
