Department Name:

Fairport Police Department

Department Head:
Chief Maureen chisholm

Location:
Fairport, NY

Description:
The Fairport Police fleet consists of Ford Crown Vics, an Expedition and an unmarked Chevy Impala. Due to Ford discontinuing product on of the Crown Vics we researched our available options and it was decided the Ford Interceptor AWD would best meed our needs. An Officer requested permission to look into updating the graphics for the new model. He then researched and came up with 4 styles. The members of the Department voted on the designs and unanimously chose the design we have submitted. The 911 and POLICE are reflective. The colors are the New York State colors. Fairport is recognized for our historic Erie Canal. the village was built up around the canal and packet boats were a large part of the original industry. The packet boat is depicted on our patch and in turn the patch is on the patrol car.
