Description:
This design is new and was officially unveiled in August of 2012. We wanted a design that had meaning for the police department and the Town of Springdale. Every part of the design is associated with the patch worn on the police officer's uniform. One big change was the color of the markings. The colors are blue and gold which derive from the outer perimeter of the patch and the center of the patch. We even included a Palmetto tree and crescent moon above DIAL 911. The tree and moon have been incorporated with our town since it was established in 1955, and also happen to be on our state flag. The blue line going down the side is reflective so our citizens see us at night and the blue comes from our patch. This design was developed by the officers and command staff of our department collectively. We are in the process of building a positive name for our department, so, we added our patch to the design. This patch has become the "icon" that everyone now associates with our department.
