Description:
This design was chosen in 1992 by a vote of the Officers. The colors were selected due to the high visibility desired, and the reflectivity of the wide stripe. All of the dark blue striping, as well as the shield are reflective, giving us a distinctive look in both day and night conditions. When we picked the pattern all sworn Officers were given a vote between 4 different designs. This design was by far the best choice. The graphics used reflect a simple design giving us a functional clean look, while placing our vehicle numbers on all four sides of the vehicle, and our emergency number is clearly visible to the public. The 2013 model year was challenging as we were not sure that our design would transfer from our older vehicles to the new body style, however we were extremely happy when the design was able to transfer intact. The new body style makes the design even more striking.
