Department Head:
Scot Eisenhauer
Location:
Iron River, WI
Description:
We choose this design because it is the logo for our Town Chamber of Commerce. It is also located at the entrance to our town limits. Building a partnership between the police and the community we serve is very important to our department. Being a small town located in Northwestern Wisconsin partially located in the Chequamegon National Forest we have a lot of seasonal visitors and tourist along with 96 pristine lakes and 3 trout streams. We wanted to reflect this in our theme. This makes our design unique to the area we police. We liked the trees and the river running between the words "Iron and River". It was important for us to have our patch and our Motto on our vehicles.
We wanted our vehicles to be very visible This was established with a design the community is familiar with; along with highly reflective material. We police 12 miles of United States Highway 2. We involved all of our department members and complete Town Board, along with local businesses in our decision. We utilized our local graphic design studio (Idea design) to develop and install the graphics.
