Department Name:

Puyallup Police Department

Department Head:
Bryan Jeter

Location:
Puyallup, WA

Description:
With the end of the road for the Crown Victoria our department had to decide what vehicle would be our next patrol vehicle. The decision was made to go with the Ford Police Interceptor SUV. In our department's 122 year history we have never had a black and white patrol car. A committee made up of officers came up with this design a few years ago. The direction they were given by the rest of the department was to come up with a simple, clean, and classic design. A "thin blue line" was also made part of the design to honor the men and women serving in law enforcement across the country. The deparment's values of SERVICE (service, ethics, respect, values, integrity, compassion, and excellence) were added to rear corner panel along with the year 1890 which is the year our city was founded.
