Department Name:

Edgerton Police Department

Department Head:
Chief Tom Klubertanz

Location:
Edgerton, WI

Description:
Pictured is the Edgerton Police Department’s 2012 Dodge Charger. This is a custom design chosen to accentuate the Chargers aggressive design, yet follow the flow of the vehicles aerodynamic structure. The colors were chosen to blend with the other older vehicles in the fleet, and match the colors of the officer’s uniforms. The material has reflective properties to help the vehicle’s visibility in low-light environments and has a professional appearance. Chief Klubertanz gathered input from Edgerton Police Officers and from the staff at Sign-A-Rama in Janesville, Wisconsin, the company who printed and installed the graphics on our Charger. During this process there were slight changes that were made to the design as we found that the transition from paper to actual application posed unseen challenges. The end result is a functional, unique squad car that epitomizes the philosophy of the Department as a whole: forward looking; aggressive on crime; keeping our community safe. In addition to the Patch on the doors and Emergency 911 number on the rear fender, we have incorporated the Edgerton Police Department’s association with the Janesville Area Crime Stoppers on the rear bumper.
