Description:
The design of the new Bay St Louis patrol fleet was selected from submissions by department employees after the Chief of Police requested officers submit designs for the new fleet. The final design was a collective effort from several employees who participated and the Chief of Police.
The colors and scheme of the new fleet were chosen to reflect our respect and honor for our Country and Community and the laws that govern them.
All graphics used on the patrol fleet were done in reflective material. This decision was reached because we believe that the police fleet should be highly visible at all times to deter crime and for officer safety.
The graphics were uniquely designed to flow with the natural lines and styling of the new Caprice. Extra detail was added to the stars and strips to give the appearance they were waving in the wind.
The motto on the rear quarter panels, “To Protect and Preserve Our Way of Life”, is meant to reflect that the Bay St Louis Police Department is committed to protecting our easy going, laid back, charming south Mississippi beach town from any and all criminals.
It is our belief that the most significant thing about the new design is that it reflects our patriotic love for our Country and Community and it truly reflects the heart and minds of the people of Bay St Louis.
