Description:
The design was chosen by a ciommitee of police officers on the department and was custon designed by them. the colors are the traditional colors of the department which go back to when the cars were 2/tone light and dark blue. Reflective was used for safety at scenes and at night. The committee consisted of 4 line officers myself and then was referred to the Chief and the Village Board for approval. the design is cutom not stock from a company. Our patch is featured on the side with the Use of the word POLICE in large reflcetive letters. the village symbol is also used just above that and 911 is clearly visible. At the rear of the car we added our patch and "the thin blue line". All of this was done on a traditional Black and White canvess. the most important part of this is thatthe officers participated in and came up with the design.
