This particular design for our patrol cars was originally developed by the members of our former traffic unit several years ago after we received grant funds from the North Carolina Governor's Highway Safety Program to purchase two new patrol cars. The design was not chosen per se but was designed more so to be original to our department and not a generic graphic. The colors were chosen because they are the main colors in our patch and uniform. We chose to use highly reflective material mainly for safety concerns and to be highly visible day and night. We take pride in our department and how to community perceives us. As you can see on the rear bumper we have the words "Pride, Commitment, and Teamwork". We take pride in the work that we do and what we represent. We are committed to a high quality of service to our community. And we accomplish all this by working together, with our community and each other, as a team.
