Brothers and Sisters:
Please let your members know that on or about this past Wednesday, ALL of the
emergency equipment was stolen out of White Hall Unit 12, the chiefs vehicle,
in Madison county (Richmond).  His home is very near I-75.  this includes a
full size edge strobe light bar, flashers and alleys, with dual white strobes
in the middle (called a traffic piercer set up), a Kenwood vhf radio
programmed for Madison co and surrounding counties, a siren box, a switch
box, cb radio, and two sho-me led small sticks.

It was obvious that whoever did this either new chief Cox and new what was in
the truck, or is extremely familure with emergency equipment.  It was not a
hack job! They new exactly what to take to keep items functioning, like the
led flasher under the seat!

We have serial numbers for equipment and each item was engraved or embedded
electronically with White Hall FD.  The light bar was a one of a kind type
set up (ordered to a specific spec) and will be hard to hide.

Please advise your membership to be on the look out for people selling
similar equipment.

Play safe!

All,

Blue Grass Army Depot Fire & Emergency Services recently had a light bar stolen from the HazMat response vehicle.  The vehicle was staged at the parking lot of US 25 Tire located at the intersection of Highway 25 & Battlefield Memorial Highway.  Emergency vehicle equipment theft seems to be the fun thing to do now.  So we all need to be proactive and document model numbers, serial numbers, etc.  Maybe even take pictures to have on record!
