Here is a good one from GM, I have some 2008 Tahoe PPVs starting to experience some transmission delay at shift points. The dealership tells me that the trans is fine but picked up hard codes (check engine light not on) P2119 - throttle body close position. They said the throttle body had carbon build up which caused the plate not to close all the way thus changing ECM readings to compensate by increasing the throttle plate angle. The emissions warranty was not honored stating that it is a maintenance issue. GM knows of this common problem per bulletin PIP4578A DOC ID#2395875. The owners manual do not indicate addressing throttle body routine maintenance. In short clean out throttle body and then send it in so they have to reset the codes.
