Anyone else having a problem with blend doors??
I have fourteen 2007 Crown Vics in my fleet and to date have had to replace 6 blend doors. Sending these out to a outside vendor for repairs can be expensive, running about $500 a vehicle. Had the Ford service manager make contact with the Ford district rep, but still no assistance with the problem.

I hope the 2007 has more in common with the 2006 models then the 2008 models, as I have 16 of the 2008 in the fleet.

We have done several. It's not a fun job. Mostly in 2007 and back. None yet in 2008 or 2009 units.

Yeah, the cooling fans are junk.  Now you have to buy the module/relay that mounts on the fan housing separately. At least the fans are easier to change then the blend door actuator.

Anyone want to share their tips/tricks/special tool list to replace the blend door actuator in under a half hour? I have a service order for a 2007 which needs to be repaired and I'd rather not spend the day pulling the dash if I can avoid it. Any help would be appreciated.

We can replace these in about 35- 40 minutes without removing the dash.just take the glove box out and you can get to the screws. There not easy but, it can be done.
