| Greetings: I have a '08 Impala with 3500 miles. I have been getting a tire service monitor light at random times. When you scroll through the information, it will usually read -- for the rear tire pressure. The local Chevy dealer has not had any luck isolating the problem, short of replacing the sensors, which they are hesitant to do. Just checking if anybody else has had similar problems. Thanks, Sgt. Kevin Caltrider Carroll County Sheriff's Office Carroll, Iowa

| After several replaced sensors and misc. tests, we figures out that the problem is being caused by my radar unit. It is a Decatur Electronics Genesis II. It also affects my keyless entry. I have spoke to two other departments in my area with the same problems. In both cases, the problems stopped when they switched brands of radar. I've relayed this to my local service manager, but have heard nothing back from Chevrolet. Sgt. KC

| We have some 08 and 07 Impalas. Some have the metal valve stem/sensors, We also have some 08 09's with the rubber valve stem/sensor. The metal ones seemed to have the worse failure rate, especially if the car is parked alot, those metal sensors would go blank, and I'd have to reset them. When the tires go bald, I replace those metal sensors as well. Napa sells some that work well and cost less than GM. I hope this helps!
