Ford superduty 350 4x4

My Dept has just put into service as of 2 day's ago an 08 built to order 08 super duty 1 ton truck, It has a custom fit box and it will replace the 3 aging transport vans we have with milage ranging from 200.000 to 170,000 on the clock. none of the vans will be let go one will be used as a backup to this new truck one to swat.

My question is are there any other dept using the super duty 350 cab/chasis as the wagons or as they are now known PT units.

we run ours 24/7 to take our arrest to the sheriff dept for keeping until court the next day if you are using this type of unit can you tell me what you think of it? how good is it any trouble you are having with it. thanks

Oh BTW I am new here just joned as you can see so sorry if I just asked a dumb question.

Hybrids for Patrol Use

I have been tasked with researching hybrid vehicles for patrol use. I have only found a few agencies across the country that are using them for patrol. There are many agencies using them as administrative vehicles. I am interested in officer opinions on driving them as well as any maintenance issues, equipment problems and overall experience. Any information would greatly be appreciated.

Hello, I am new to the site. I am looking for some information on justifying SUV's for patrol supervisors. Any written policy, general order and what these vehicles are equipped with would be very helpful as I plan on writing a proposal very soon.
