Tap into fuse Number 1. It provide a ground when you are in park and neutral. This is the point that Ford recommands. I have done a few k-9 cars that require this option on here dog door poppers and it works great.

wmipolicecars

RE: Siren Park kill (also posted under FORD)

ORIGINAL POLICE FLEET FORUM POST
Posted by FOREMAN

-----

MEEInstalls, Federal also makes a module but neither gives the wiring color/location to tie into the vehicle. Could you provide insight on this? At least for '06'/'07'? Dealers around here are not helpful, Whelen/Federal techs seem unsure and/or can't agree. Even contacted CHP, (we have thier old Chief) and they will not respond. I guess I sound lazy but we are just swamped with other projects and I hate re-inventing the wheel. Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
_________________
Quality= life or death, The life you save may be yours. I use them on all my crown vic installs with no issues.

RE: Siren Park kill (also posted under FORD)

ORIGINAL POLICE FLEET FORUM POST
Posted by Unit3034

-----

I would also be interested in the location of this wiring, if it exists. We currently install a limiting switch attached to the transmission by the selector linkage. When the transmission is in park, the switch applies or removes the ground or positive (whatever the equipment requires to enable the park-kill feature). It works great, but the drawback is needing to get under the vehicle to install this switch and run the wire. I'd be very interested in where the factory sense wiring is, also.

Siren Park kill (also posted under FORD)

ORIGINAL POLICE FLEET FORUM POST
Posted by FOREMAN

-----

We use Smart sirens for our PD. Just recently, there have been request for info about using the Park kill feature. I'm looking for info on wire color and location of the sense wire in 03-08 CVs. Any help would be appreciated.
