I wish Carbon Motors luck and I like the theory but I would not hold your breath.  It is a huge undertaking. The CEO had the same proposal pending in Calf under the corporate name of The North Corporation (or something similar). The North Corporation was a venture capital company that was going to use an old AF base in Calf as their production facility. I am sure they both have the same CEO (William Santana Li). The artists conception of their vehicle is the same. CEO has a very prestigious automotive resume.

Again I'd love to see his vehicle in production and his company successful. I'm suspicious because there was no information released when his Calf venture closed and I can't find anything about it on the web. The North Corporation also had a very fancy website.

They just left San Jose and are on their way to the International Auto Show in San Francisco for display. They would not open the hood or trunk at the unveiling. I mentioned that they had a puddle of fluid on the showroom floor under the rear area. Saw exposed wires underneath front driver seat, CEO told me that they have not decided where to run loops yet, spotlight in mirror housing has wires rubbing on hole they cut, would not explain who manufactured the infrared, license plate recognition systems, in car camera, siren company, lights from who? I did recognize the rear prisoner seatbelt system. They did state it will be out for 2012 and is currently taking reservations for POs. Good luck

Their website is here: http://carbonmotors.com/

I wish them luck but don't know how they can make a go of it with the annual volume potential. Even if they captured 50% of the market would that be enough to keep a major manufacturing facility busy? Or will they just be a niche player?
