It’s just a few months before Police Fleet Expo
Milwaukee kicks off on Aug. 18! Hendon Media Group is excited to announce the format for this year’s show has been enhanced and new content added. More breakout sessions feature topics of interest for everyone in the world of police fleet managers. Whether you are just joining our ranks, or are a seasoned veteran, there will be a session designed just for you.
The City of Milwaukee is a gem along Lake Michigan’s western shore. Nestled between Green Bay and Chicago, the city is home to the Milwaukee Brewers and Harley-Davidson. Prepare to enjoy a great Midwestern city in the summer.
Your Expo begins with the Ride & Drive, hosted on the grounds of the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Just a 15-minute motor coach ride from our host hotel, you will find yourself faced with decisions. Which of today’s latest police vehicles do you want to drive? The course has been designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the vehicles for how we typically drive them…so it is less the Richard Petty Experience and more about agility. When you’re not driving or enjoying lunch, make sure to visit the vendors who will be staged around the grounds of the facility. Stay tuned for a classroom offering trackside to get additional educational sessions from this year’s Police Fleet Expo
Set in the ballroom of the Wisconsin Center, we will gather for our opening session on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Before the Big Three take the stage, we have the honor of listening to some special guests welcome you to the City of Milwaukee and the Police Fleet Expo
. Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford will then take us to midafternoon, expounding on their latest offerings in the Police and Special-Service Vehicle market.
Day one will end with a special guest speaker. Robert “Todd” Christensen, author of Out of the Darkness And Into The Blue
, will be sharing his personal stories of his law enforcement career and his thoughts on the importance of what we do as fleet managers with regards to tactics and patrol vehicles. He will reinforce what we have come to know—there is a lot more to building vehicles than just picking out the parts. You will walk away armed with some new ideas as well as a renewed spirit for what it is you’ve been called to do.
Throughout the rest of the week, we will be offering a new format with mainly concurrent sessions. This was done to offer classes that better fit the mold of our attendees. Whether you are a seasoned fleet manager, an officer who inherited the job, or a mechanic, we are offering something for everyone this year. On Friday, Aug. 21, we will be concluding with our most popular session, the Firestone/Goodyear presentation on Tire Forensics.
Stay tuned in the coming months for even more information on what we have in store for you. In the meantime, the “phone lines are open” and we are ready to take your reservation for the best source for everything police fleet related—the Police Fleet Expo 2015
See you in Milwaukee!
