has unveiled a number of new items including the new Storm Grey color collection, Men’s Ridgeline Pant and Traverse Shirt, Women’s Cirrus Pant, and Women’s 5.11 RECON™ Trainer.


Storm Grey Collection

The new Storm Grey color collection includes styles from 5.11 Tactical’s best-selling bags, footwear, accessories and apparel. According to 5.11 Tactical, the Storm Grey color collection was developed as a result of research that proved the colors offer superior performance in a range of urban and naval environments.


“Color should be seen as a tactical tool that’s just as vital as any training or performance equipment,” said Francisco Morales, president at 5.11 Tactical. “There is certain gear critical to any mission that you’d never leave home without, and with a vast selection of essentials in the Storm Grey collection, every special operations professional can find their fit in the sleek, yet purpose-built color scheme.”

Eighteen products comprise the Storm Grey collection. All are built to 5.11 Tactical’s exacting standards, they span a number of categories, including premium-quality gear packs from the RUSH line, the functional and versatile MOAB 10™ and MOAB 6™ packs, protective chest TacTec™ products, VTAC® Magazine Pouches including the single and double AR bungee covers, and the pistol bungee cover.

The Storm Grey collection also includes VTAC Utility Pouches (both the 6.6 pouch and the large drop pouch), Rapid Assault Shirt, RECON Boots and apparel from the Taclite® line, among others. The Plate Carrier and XPRT 2.0 Boot will be available in Storm Grey later this year.


Ridgeline Pant & Traverse Shirt


5.11 Tactical has added two new items to its men’s apparel line for 2014: the Ridgeline Pant and Traverse Shirt. According to 5.11 Tactical, the new products extend the company’s men’s clothing category with additional high-performance products that are purpose-built for durability and comfort, and constructed to perform in the most demanding environments.

“Our men’s line is anchored by our flagship Taclite Pro Pant. The recent success of our performance-driven Stryke Pant has proven the demand for further extensions to our line. The Ridgeline Pant and Traverse Shirt are outstanding additions that meet 5.11 quality standards,” said Tom Davin, 5.11 Tactical CEO.

The Ridgeline Pant features an advanced design with eight jean-style multi-use pockets.


It combines rugged high-performance utility with a casual look and comfortable feel.


According to 5.11 Tactical, the Ridgeline Pant is engineered to excel in a variety of demanding environments and is great for concealed carry options, range training, and covert operations. It features a variety of innovations such as hidden pistol magazine pockets in the back yoke.

The Ridgeline Pant is ruggedly constructed, with ripstop Flex-Tac™ fabric with mechanical stretch, bar-tacking at major stress points, and double needle stitching at key seams for durability. The pant also features a Teflon® finish for stain and soil resistance and nylon knife reinforcement in the front pockets for added versatility while maintaining an everyday look. The Ridgeline Pant retails for $69 and is available in four colors: Stone, Storm, Battle Brown and Field Green.

The new Traverse Shirt is designed for comfort and boasts a lightweight, breathable fabric. The Traverse Shirt is made from 100-percent polyester, three-ounce fabric to promote moisture wicking and airflow. It has mesh lining in high-heat areas and a mesh grid ventilation in the underarms and sides to ensure breathability in hot climates. The Traverse Shirt has an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 50.

According to 5.11 Tactical, the Traverse Shirt is designed for high-endurance, high-stress situations where moisture management is critical, whether in the field or at the range. The Traverse Shirt is available in long sleeve and short sleeve with each retailing for $69. Color options include Black and Khaki for long sleeve and Storm, Fatigue and Cobalt for short sleeve.


Women’s Cirrus Pant

5.11 Tactical has extended its women’s apparel line with their introduction of the new Cirrus Pant. According to 5.11 Tactical, the Women’s Cirrus Pant was introduced following the success of its best-selling popular Stryke Pant in order to provide women with more options. Designed for versatility, durability, mobility and comfort, the Women’s Cirrus Pant provides a flattering yet professional fit. The company considers it to be the ideal women’s pant for range training, concealed carry, or covert operations.

“Due to the high demand of the Woman’s Stryke Pant, we have created the Women’s Cirrus Pant, which is engineered to fit women from the ground up,” said Guy Burgstahler, chief marketing officer at 5.11 Tactical. “For professionals both on and off the job, this ultra-durable pant ensures superior resilience that results in overall longer garment life. By construction, the Cirrus Pant allows for ultimate freedom of movement, which maximizes comfort.”

The Women’s Cirrus Pant s built from 6.8-ounce Flex-Tac fabric and is designed with a professional and flattering fit. It features a full gusseted crotch for complete mobility, twin front pockets sized for a knife or cell phone, twin seat pockets sized for magazines, and dependable YKK® zipper hardware. The pant also features eight jean-style multi-use pockets, which include hidden pistol magazine pockets for concealed carry.

The Women’s Cirrus Pant is available in three colors: Black, Storm and Stone.


According to 5.11 Tactical, the Women’s Cirrus features bar-tacking at all major stress points and additionally features a Teflon finish for resistance against stain and soil. The Women’s Cirrus Pant retails for $69.


5.11 Women’s RECON Trainer

Following the success of the 5.11 RECON Trainer for men, 5.11 Tactical is extending its RECON line with select products for women that are designed to help maximize females’ functionality and performance across a range of missions—from fitness and outdoor training to duty-driven responsibilities and more, according to the company.

“The popularity of the RECON Trainer created customer demand for a women’s version, which is why we’ve expanded the shoe to this new market,” stated Guy Burgstahler, chief marketing officer at 5.11 Tactical. “The RECON shoe offers all the superior quality and features of the original men’s line, providing unbeatable ventilation, flexibility and strength for those who train with a higher purpose.”

The Women’s RECON Trainer is engineered to be a lightweight cross training shoe. The footwear is available in three colors: Caribbean Sea, Storm and Scope Orange.


According to 5.11 Tactical, the Women’s RECON Trainer combines a minimalist design with long-lasting performance.

The Women’s RECON Trainer features HELCOR® panels for strength and flexibility and a full-length CMEVA midsole for structure and support. The RECON Trainer also features a broadened forefoot to promote toe splaying for maximized engagement and improved balance.

The footwear features an integrated Rope Ready™ Zone. It also has an 8mm forward angle drop from heel to toe that creates a lower profile to increase acceleration and control while remaining lightweight. Genuine OrthoLite® insoles are used for added comfort. They are removable for a customized fit. The Women’s RECON Trainer retails for $99.
